London / Paris — June 2025 — French energy giant TotalEnergies has struck a deal to acquire a 435 MW renewable portfolio from UK developer Low Carbon, comprising eight solar projects (350 MW) and two battery storage assets (85 MW). The acquired assets are in advanced development and expected to be fully operational by 2028.

• The new projects are estimated to yield around 350 GWh of clean electricity per year, adequate to power approximately 100,000 UK households.

• Located in southern England, the portfolio complements TotalEnergies’ existing UK power assets including offshore wind and gas turbines
• Low Carbon said it will continue developing further renewable capacity, with plans to initiate more than 400 MW of solar + battery projects in the coming 18 months.
